Andrews Farm Community Church Inc
Over the last five years there has been significant housing development and large population increases in Adelaide’s north, some of the fastest in South Australia. These increases also include many migrants from across the world as they make Australia their new home. The State and Local Governments have invested in the Playford region, especially with the Playford Alive Project.
It was this population increase which has attracted the attention of local Christian churches and also a number of denominational leaders. During 2016 there was a wonderful alignment of visions between the Baptist Churches of South Australia and the Elizabeth Church of Christ which led to a unique partnership.
Pastor Lindsay Mayes has accepted a call from the South Australian Baptist Church Planting Collaboration called Northern Gold to lead what we hope is the first of many new churches in the region. This first Church Plant is located in Andrews Farm, a rapidly growing suburb in the Munno Para area.
Our vision is to see the whole Andrews Farm and surrounding communities powerfully impacted with Christ’s new life and the hope He brings. We long to see lives changed, bringing grace, healing and restoration to broken hearts and homes.
We plan to intentionally connect with the local community in genuine and meaningful ways building strong relationships of trust and care.
While we are open to all people, we will be especially focusing on the many new young families moving into the area, including those from other nations.
We will be sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit and seeing people respond in real faith and repentance. We see those new believers being intentionally discipled to maturity and growing in their knowledge and understanding of God’s Word.
